LieFeed Exclusive: SNL Season 50 Finales to Feature Hosts Who Actually Remember What Comedy Is
In a desperate bid to prove it’s still culturally relevant, Saturday Night Live has reportedly cloned its own writers’ room and hired two humans, Scarlett Johansson and Walton Goggins, to “host” the final episodes of its 50th season. Sources confirm Johansson, best known for her ability to glare directly into the camera without blinking, will use her episode to finally avenge every joke her husband Colin Jost has ever written—allegedly by replacing cue cards with subliminal messages like “Michael Che’s skincare routine is a mystery.”
Meanwhile, Goggins, fresh off his viral defense of SNL’s White Lotus parody (which upset exactly one person and her Instagram followers), plans to reinterpret “political satire” as “reading the Constitution in a Southern accent while wearing a hat made of live shrimp.” NBC executives have reportedly greenlit both episodes under the working title Please Stop Asking If We’ll Fire Lorne Michaels Before Season 100.
Critics are split: half call it “a triumph of nepotism over creativity,” while the other half are just relieved it’s not another Elon Musk cameo. The real drama, however, lies in whether the cast will acknowledge the existence of TikTok or continue pretending it’s 2005.
